A 45-year-old man was struck down by a vehicle on the East Coast Demerara highway last night and up to press time was being treated at the Georgetown Public Hospital.
Anthony Jones of Triumph was hit by the vehicle.
His condition was reported to be serious and he suffered head injuries. Details on the incident were sketchy last night but this newspaper was told that it occurred in the Beterverwagting area.
