Jaundoo wins Flying Ace 25-mile race

Shane Jaundoo last Sunday carted off the Flying Ace Cycle Club of Berbice 25-mile race for schoolboys and novices.

The event which was jointly-sponsored by Anirud Ramcharitar and the Bush Lot Service Station, saw Jaundoo completing the distance in 32 minutes, 27 seconds.

He was followed by Dwight Holder, Larry Rose, Amzad Alli, Afraz Alli, Dwayne Edwards, Kumar Bangali, and Linsie Rigby in that order.

In the girls’ category over a distance of six miles, Tiffany Benjamin placed first ahead of Christina Matheison while in the BMX category over a similar distance, Compton Watts won ahead of Ravindra Karim and Akim Rudder.

The event, which was organized by the club coach Randolph Roberts, served as a warm up race for the upcoming National Schools Track and Field Athletic, Cycling and Swimming championships billed for the Mackenzie Sports Club ground.
