The People’s Progressive Party (PPP) is extending best wishes to the nation as it celebrates Christmas while it remembers flood-afflicted persons here and others further afield.
In a press release the PPP said while traditionally the nation pulls out all the stops for the festive season, it urges citizens to remember particularly those on the East Coast who have suffered floods in recent days. It said too “We must also spare a thought for many peoples the world over who have been caught up in the vice-like grip of wars and conflicts.” In this regard the party said it hopes the message of peace causes international leaders to reflect on and make efforts to resolve conflicts to the benefit of all.
