NM Security Solutions (NMSS) “A” with 83 games emerged winners of the Edward “Andy” Andrews Memorial Dominoes competition for teams in the Neal and Massy Group in Saturday’s final played at Neal and Massy Staff Club at Ruimveldt.
NMSS “B” with 69 games took second position while Associated Industries Ltd. (Ainlim) Berbice Branch ended in the cellar with 56 games.
Ronald Stephens and Rex Semple each marked the maximum 18 games for the winners, while Jason Belle with 16 and Stanley Fung-a-Fat, 15, were the top players for NMSS “B”.
Hanif Sadiq (14) and Fay New Year, 11 games, led the way for Ainlim Berbice while teammates Deorat Ramgangdan (double love) and Peter Sangster (single love) were the love birds.
Stephens and New Year were voted most valuable players male and female respectively in the final.
Twelve teams took part in the competition organized by Sports Coordinator Rodnew McDonald.
They included TDI/ Marketing and Distribution combined, Demerara Oxygen Company (DOCOL), CCS, NM Services Ltd. (NMSL) and Ainlim and Geddes Grant Essequibo.
