Essequibo selects 14 for El Dorado 50-overs Inter-County cricket

After watching the recent Busta clash the Essequibo panel of selectors has named a fourteen member squad to face Demerara and Berbice in the El Dorado Inter-county one-day matches. While the squad has the usual makeup there is no place for under-19 vice-captain and opener Ryan Fredericks.

The Essequibo team is made up of Trevon Garraway (Captain), Wayne Osbourne (Vice Captain), Andrew Wong, Robert Moore, Andrew Williams, Mahase Richards, Dinesh Joseph, Yogeshwar Lall, Trevor Benn, Rakesh Goberdhan, Ryan Hercules, Norman Fredericks, Navishaul Pooran and Gowan Singh.

Andrew Cornelius, Deonauth Baksh, Royce Evans, Lawrence Ramdass have been placed on standby. The team will be coached by Forbes Daniels and managed by Moses Ramnarine.

Meanwhile the selectors have also named a fourteen-man under-17 squad to compete in the Clico under-17 competition. The squad will be captained by Dwayne Singh with Herrel Greene as his deputy. The rest of the squad includes Jermain Hoenkirk, Rensford Beaton, Royan McAll, Anthony Adams, Rowell Cornelius, Kevin Fredericks, Ravindra Mohabir, Neil Ramalho, Shaun Garraway, Keron McLennon, Rovi Harris and Renville Badrinauth.

Four players were also named as standbys in Nokta Moses, Mohamed Razack, Keron Sewnarine and Melville Seepersaud. Vibert Johnson has been named as the coach with Orin Belfield as manager.
