DCC receives Pepsi Cup

The Demerara Cricket Club (DCC) was Friday evening presented with the Pepsi Cup and a cheque for $100,000 from Demerara Distilleries Limited (DDL) for their nail-biting win in the Pepsi-sponsored, first-division 40-overs-a-side competition.

– Blackmore new general secretary Former national sprinter Colin Boyce was yesterday elected president of the Athletics Association of Guyana (AAG) when the governing body of track and field held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) in the YMCA annexe.

Woman, 20, remanded on break and enter charge

A 20-year-old woman, who allegedly broke and entered the dwelling of another woman and stole a portable DVD player among other items, was remanded to prison on Friday when she appeared before Acting Chief Magistrate Melissa Robertson at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court.
