Cyclist killed in crash at Bath

A 33-year-old cyclist is now dead following a collision with a car yesterday morning.

Dead is Narine Persaud of Number 12 Village Squatting Area, West Coast Berbice.

According to a police press release, the incident occurred at approximately 9.40 am on the Bath Public Road. Investigations by the police have revealed that Persaud rode out from the access road onto the main road and was struck down by a motor car. The cyclist was taken to the Fort Wellington Hospital where he was pronounced DOA.

The driver of the car is in police custody assisting with investigations.
