No new leads in Pomeroon murders

Despite several persons being questioned, there have been no new leads in the murders of a father and his son in the North-West District last month.

Crime Chief Seelall Persaud said last week that several persons have been questioned based on information received, in relation to the deaths of Romeo De Agrella, 41, and his son, Clint De Agrella, 20, of Grant Strong, Hope, Lower Pomeroon River, whose decomposing remains were discovered on March 23, but the police have not been able to come up with anything further.

Last month, he had told this newspaper that a man, who hails from the Pomeroon area, was in police custody and may know what happened, adding that the information he has is related to drug trafficking. However, the leads have petered out.
