Four police stations at borders with Venezuela, Brazil – Rohee

Home Affairs Minister Clement Rohee told the National Assembly last week that there are two police stations along the Guyana/Venezuela border and two along the border with Brazil.

According to the minister, the two police stations located along the Guyana/Venzuela border are at Eteringbang and Imbotero. Along the Brazilian border, the two police stations are located at Lethem and at Orinduik.

Meanwhile, Rohee disclosed that there are five police stations located within a ten-mile radius of the Guyana/Venezuelan border. These are at Morawhanna, Yarakita, Ekereku, Baramita and Mabaruma.

He also disclosed that there are three police stations located within a ten-mile radius of Guyana’s border with Brazil. These are at Monkey Mountain, Kato and Karasabai.

Rohee was at the time responding to questions posed by PNCR-1G MP Deborah Backer who asked about the police stations and outposts located along the two borders as well as those located within a ten-mile radius.
