Expanded French Open tennis coverage on DirecTV

This year’s French Open lawn tennis tournament which will be held in France (of course) will see DirecTV subscribers receiving expended coverage.
According to the company sports enthusiasts in the Caribbean will be provided with unique and interactive opportunities as the company in association with ESPN seek to give fans a chance to view the extended coverage of the premier clay court tournament in the world which starts tomorrow.

According to a release from the company, “The interactive mosaic can be accessed from Channel 690. Court Channels 692, 693, 694, 695, and 696 can also be force tuned by subscribers without interactive capability.

“From Chanel 690 viewers will be able to watch up to six live matches from six different courts. At the touch of a button choose which match you want to view full screen or view all six at the same time. Live onscreen scoring of all matches, match schedules and statistics can also be accessed on 690,” the release stated.
Coverage starts at 5am daily and runs until midday. Coverage of the tournament beyond May 30 will be shown exclusively on ESPN International – Channel 611.

Among the stars on show this year will be four-time French Open winner  Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic,  Andy Murray  and Roger Federer on the men’s side and defending champion  Ana Ivanovic,  Jelena  Jankovic,  Elena Dementieva and the Williams  sisters Venus and Serena among the women.
