In a press release the Club said this initiative was another step in an enduring relationship with the school which boasts an enrolment of 230 pupils. Head Teacher Deborah Johnson received equipment including swings, see-saws, arch climbers and a trailer, from the Club. The Club also repaired the guard hut, fixed the security lights and levelled the grounds.

Community Outreach Chairperson Evelyn Cheong said it was happy to contribute the equipment and to help to create an environment conducive to learning. The Club’s relationship with the school started in the early 1990s when it had rehabilitated the entire building and later fenced the compound. Since then it has been involved in the weeding and maintenance programme.
