Dear Editor,
It sometimes boggles the mind to understand decisions taken by the Guyana Police Force, and I wonder whether the government sanctioned a recent decision. I make reference to a KN report of June 24, titled ‘Police prepared to charge attempted suicide victims.’
I honestly laughed out loud upon reading this news report, and I always thought that the seriousness of this matter needed discussion before a decision is taken.
Is someone also telling me that the religious fraternity and Human Rights Associa-tion have absolutely no say on this issue?
Yours faithfully,
T. Pemberton
