A 21-year-old man was last evening in a stable condition at the Georgetown Public Hospital after sustaining a stab wound in the region of his heart following an altercation with another man yesterday afternoon.
Marlon Johnson of Lot 21 Two Friends, East Coast Demerara was stabbed just below his heart around 6 pm yesterday after he was involved in a fight with another man close to the Ann’s Grove market. He was attended to by doctors at the hospital and was subsequently admitted to the Male Open Ward of the hospital.
The man’s condition is listed as stable.
