A Stabroek Market vendor who was killed in her home was discovered nude, bound and gagged on Friday night.
Dead is Karpattie Sewnauth of Independence Street, La Grange, West Bank Demerara. She was found on her bed at around 8.30 pm.
The police said that she was last seen in the company of a sibling about 9.30 pm on Thursday last after visiting a mandir in the area. They also said in a press release yesterday that entry to her home may have been gained through an eastern window, but that investigations are continuing.
A post mortem examination is to be conducted.
