Mackeson English/K&S Futsal Tournament

Uprising led the expulsion of teams as they blew away Den Amstel 11 – 0 when action in the sixth annual Mackeson English/Kashif and Shanghai Futsal Knockout Tournament continued at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall on Monday.

Ronald La Rose and Daniel Favourite led the Uprising team with hat—tricks and were generously supported  by Dwayne Dickson and the rest of the team.

La Rose recorded his goals in the 12th, 17th and 28th minutes, Favourite scored in the fourth, fifth and 29th minutes while Dickson was successful in the 23rd and 25th. Terrence Lewis in the third, Devon Booker in the 16th and Orielly Small in the 15th minute accounted for Uprising’s other goals.
In other results, Beacon United defeated Beterverwagting/Triumph United FC (BVTUFC) 3 – 2, Bakewell Top XX lost to Riddim Squad 2 – 3, Brazilians sank Thomas United 6 – 2, Fruta Conquerors tamed Timehri Panthers 8 – 0, Pele humbled Golden Stars 10 – 0 and Flamingo defeated Uitvlugt 4 – 1.

The exhibition tournament had Winners Connection beating Young Achievers 5 – 2, North East beat Barber Shack 5 – 2 and Media United won 4 – 3 on penalties after being deadlocked at 1 – 1 at full time. A Nigel Denny double (20th, 26th) along with Shawn Morris’ goal (31st) overshadowed the Colin Jones and Sean Daniels goals for BV in the 25th and 14th minutes.

Sceyon Hope scored in the 20th and 22nd minutes and M Gilkes in the 6th for Riddim Squad while Michael Wills and Keon Sears scored in the 1st and 10th minutes for Top XX. E. Quveria scored a hat-trick for the Brazilians (5th, 18th and 26th) while S. Valle (12th) and Santos (6th, 30th) helped against the D. Adams and L. Griffith goals scored in the 19th and 26th minutes for Thomas United.
Doubles from Flamingo’s Seon Porter (9th and 12th) and Deon Allen (4th and 21st) proved too much for Uitvlugt and their lone goal scored by Leron Jacobs.

Goals from FC’s Joylon Harry (19th), Odel Williams (12th, 15th), Gerald Williams (4th, 9th, 24th), Paul Babb (9th) and Trevon Lycott (22nd) drowned the opposition.

In the Pele/GS battle, Solomon Austin tripled in the 2nd, 28th and 30th while Kester Gravesande scored in the 22nd and 27th, Travis Grant (5th, 16th), Shemroy Arthur – 18th, M. Joseph – 15th and S. Yorrick the 11th.
