Speightland battles Hururu, Gunners tackle Hi-Flyers in divisional finals

Speightland will match skills with Hururu in the women’s divisional final, while Young Gunners will take aim at Hi-Flyers in the men’s championship match following respective semifinal wins in the King and Queen Beach Football Championship on Tuesday evening.

Staged at the PPP office compound in Mackenzie, Linden, Speightland demolished Rockstone 6-0. Nikita Wayne recorded a hat-trick in the eighth, 12th, and 29th minutes, while Shenessa Cornelius amassed a double in the 30th and 37th minutes. Adding a goal in the 23rd minute was Aliyah Venture.

On the other hand, Hururu edged Aroaima 1-0. Jasmin Williams netted in the fifth minute. The aforesaid losers will compete in the third-place playoff.

Meanwhile, in the men’s division, Hi-Flyers soared past MS Ballers 4-2. Experienced campaigner Keon Sears crafted a brace in the eighth and 10th minutes, while Emmanuel Atkins and Anthony McCalmon scored in the 20th and 31st minutes, respectively.

On the other side, the duo of Shawn Arthur and Demol Warner netted in the 26th and 34th minutes, respectively.

Similarly, the Young Gunners riddled Platinum 4-1. Rodensio Tudor bagged a double in the 21st and 26th minutes, while Devonte Tappin and Omarion Ramsammy netted in the second and 10th minutes apiece. For the loser, Tyrese Lewis found the back of the net in the 30th minute.

The aforementioned losers will compete in the third-place fixture.

The winner of the men’s division will pocket $1,000,000 and the championship trophy, while the loser will receive $500,000 and the respective accolade. The third and fourth-place finishers will collect $200,000 and $100,000, respectively, and the corresponding trophy.

On the women’s side, the eventual champion will pocket $400,000 and the respective accolade, while the second, third, and fourth-place finishers will receive $200,000, $100,000, and $50,000, respectively, and the corresponding trophy.
