Winners in the National Library ‘Know Your Country’ contest, held to commemorate its centenary, have been announced.
According to a press release Stefan Singh of Ruimveldt Public Road won a Motorola cellular phone donated by the Guyana Telephone and Telegraph (GT&T) company; Aaron Grant-Stuart of Soesdyke, East Bank Demerara won dinner for two at OMG, donated by Banks DIH; Letitia Babb of North Ruimveldt won a copy of Godfrey Chin’s Nostalgia Golden Memories of Guyana 1940-1980 donated by the author. Also, Juliette Statia-Phillips of Goed Intent, West Bank Demerara won one Sheaffer’s pen, donated by Kings Jewellery World; and Juan Simon of Plaisance and Florence Zephys of South Ruimveldt Park each won $500 of C-point credit, donated by GT&T.
Winners are asked to collect their prizes at Guyenterprise, 234 Irving and Lance Gibbs streets during working hours, taking along identification.
