Police yesterday said that four suspicious men who were challenged in the compound of the Toolsie Persaud Limited (TPL) bond at Providence, East Bank Demerara fled after a guard fired a shot in the air.
The police said that around 11.30 am an armed guard spotted the four men in the compound acting suspiciously.
“The men failed to respond to the queries by the security guard who discharged a round into the air and they escaped through a hole that they had cut in the fence”, the release said.
