A Digicel sales clerk was robbed of more than $100,000 as well as cellular phones and phone cards Wednesday afternoon at Enmore.
The police force said it is investigating the incident, which occurred at about 4:05pm at the East Coast Demerara location.
Investigations have so far revealed that sales clerk Asif Singh was in the business place when he was confronted by two men, one of whom was armed with a handgun, and held up.
The men carted off a number of cellular phones along with phone cards and $117,850. They subsequently escaped.
