There will be no Vybz Kartel show for Christmas. In a brief statement, PR Representative for Conscious Mind Promotions, Mondale Smith said that the show is off and persons have begun to collect refunds at the STVS offices.
The four artistes who had arrived for the concert, which was originally scheduled for last Saturday before being postponed indefinitely as Kartel did not turn up, left Guyana yesterday. The promoters and Kartel are in talks regarding refunds. According to the statement, Kartel also did not turn up for a show in St. Lucia.
On Sunday the promoters had said that they were hoping that the show would have been held before Christmas. They had said that they were in talks with Kartel. They also denied a report that the four artistes belonging to his entourage were being held “hostage” here.
