Armed robbers struck at the Hooters Bar at Hardina and Bent Streets, Georgetown on Thursday.
According to police, proprietor Basil Joseph and a relative, Clifford James, were in the business place when two men armed with handguns entered and held them up. The men took away an undisclosed sum of cash along with jewellery and a cell phone and escaped.
While escaping, the gunmen discharged several rounds into the air. A .32 spent shell was recovered at the scene by the police.
