With the closure of schools last week many organizations, corporate entities and private individuals have been involved in the traditional Christmas giving to many children around Linden.
Recently, a fest was held at the Canvas City Nursery School in Wismar through the sponsorship of the Linden-based Natural Mystic Enterprise.
The enterprise headed by Audrey Jones adopted the Canvas City nursery some two years ago. On Wednesday last it held a Christmas party for the 57 pupils of the school who were all treated to gifts for the holiday.
Jones told Stabroek News that her business is committed to meeting the school’s needs and finds joy in bringing smiles to the pupils’ faces at Christmas time.
Other organs within the Linden community are set to provide Christmas treats for children. This week the two phone companies Digicel and GT&T are to do their part while local businesses and other private individuals are packing stockings with gifts for children of Linden.
