Ganja trafficking accused remanded

A man who was allegedly found with a quantity of cannabis in his possession for the purpose of trafficking was remanded to prison yesterday when he appeared before Magistrate Hazel Octive-Hamilton at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court.
Renaldo Bourne pleaded not guilty to the charge of possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking.

It is alleged that on March 7, Bourne was found with 49 grammes of cannabis in his possession for the purpose of trafficking.

The magistrate subsequently ordered that Bourne be remanded to prison and that he appear back in court on
June 2.
