Ram Kanaya, 42, of Number 78 Village, Corriverton, Berbice was found dead at about 11am in the septic tank at Grant 1806 Crabwood Creek. Police in a press release last evening said the man bore “suspected marks of violence to the chest”.
The man’s body is currently at the Skeldon Hospital Mortuary and is awaiting a post- mortem, police said.
Stabroek News learnt from a police source last evening that the deceased had left his Number 78 Village home several hours before to visit a friend in the Crabwood Creek area.
