On Monday, Uprising and Santos crushed both Black Pearl and Northern Rangers by a 5 – 0 margin, Western Tigers defeated Georgetown Football Club (GFC) 3 – 1 and Conquerors got past Beacon United 2 – 1.

In the BK/Uprising match, the eventual victors claimed the lead in the first minute owing to an own goal from BK’s Jason Clarke. Uprising then recorded two quick goals to push their lead to three at the brink of half time, compliments of Omali Nassay and Dwayne Dickson who scored in the 11th and 12 minute respectively.

Colin Clarke and O-Reilly Small scored in quick succession (21st and 22nd) to mark the scoreboard 5 – 0 at the final whistle.
A terrific all round performance from the Santos players made their battle with Northern Rangers a stroll in the park.

Andy Clarke in the tenth minute, Quacy Price – 16th, Renault Fraser – 21st, Sean McKenzie – 22nd and Dwayne Ali the 24th were the scorers responsible for Rangers’ demise. Conquerors scored as early as the fourth minute from a Lester Peters strike establishing a lead that lasted until Beacon’s Nigel Denny equalized in the 22nd minute. Beacon was shocked the very next minute as Conquerors regained the lead when Gerald Grittens found the back of the net.

Tigers recorded a come-from-behind victory with Phillip Rowley leading the way with a double (19th and 20th) and being supported by his teammate Devon Millington who scored in the 17th minute. Gregory Denny drew first blood in the second minute for GFC. Undoubtedly, one of the most thrilling encounters of the night was the GFA Administration/Referees showdown which the refs won by a comfortable five goal margin (6 – 1). In the other exhibition matches, Guinness Bar defeated Oasis Water 1 – 0, Barber Shack got past Clippers Barber Shop 4 – 3 and Eagles defeated Northern Rangers 6 – 0 in the female match up.
