JOHANNESBURG, South Africa, CMC – Injury has ruled opening batsman Dale Richards out of the West Indies’ final Champions Trophy match against India tomorrow.
The right-hander dislocated his shoulder during his side’s 50-run loss to Australia on Saturday and has not recovered in time for the day/night encounter at The Wanderers.
He will remain with the team and to continue his rehabilitation on his return to Barbados.
Following the injury which occurred in the early stages of the Australia innings, Richards did not return to the field and did not bat during the Windies response.
