Bravo struggling with sore hand ahead of Big Bash final

MELBOURNE, Australia,  CMC – West Indies all-rounder Dwayne Bravo missed Victoria Bushrangers’ win over Queensland Bulls yesterday with injury but is expected to play in the grand Twenty20 Big Bash final on Saturday. The 26-year-old Bravo took a blow to the hand in Victoria’s win against Tasmania last Friday, and struggled after training on Monday with soreness.

Bravo has been a key player for Victoria in the T20 bash, averaging 25.67 with a top score of 36, and taking four wickets in five matches.

He will be expected to feature prominently in Saturday’s final against South Australia after Victoria scored a six-wicket win over Queensland in the preliminary final yesterday.

Ben Dunk’s 70 not out from 40 balls was the foundation of Queensland’s 149 for five off their allotted 20 overs after they won the toss and opted to bat.

David Hussey then carved out an equally entertaining, unbeaten 60 from 39 balls to propel Victoria to 150 for four, with seven balls to spare.
