According to the AFC, the celebration of Phagwah with its origins in the legend of Prahalad, gives a number of moral instructions which the party believes are very relevant and applicable to Guyana. The party notes, among such instructions, that even the once good can become corrupt and evil, that there will always be resistance and opposition coming from quarters sometimes one may never imagine, that God will take care of those of his devotees who resist the bad and evil and, that practitioners of evil will be punished.
The AFC wishes all Guyanese a happy and enjoyable Phagwah, the release stated.
