Bartica tots in Easter pageant

Ellen’s Day Care, Pre and Nursery School of Third Avenue Bartica recently held its annual Easter hat show and pageant. The activity is geared towards the promotion of socialising between parents and children.

Easter Queen Donna Lee Da Silva is flanked on her right by first runner-up and best sun dress, Avanellie Martindale and on her left second runner-up and Miss Congeniality Victoria Outridge.

Apart from the display of hats, students, parents and teachers also showcased costumes in various categories including Salt Bag, Calico Patch, Paper Dress and Plastic Cloak, Parent and Child Matching Outfits, Children and Parents Displaying Characters, Sister/Sister  and Brother/ Brother Matching Outfits.

The show was held at Leanna’s Kiddies Park in Fifth Avenue Bartica in the hopes of building self esteem and confidence in the children.

Meanwhile, owner and head teacher of the school, Teacher Ellen, expressed her gratitude to the old students of the school and the business community of Bartica for donating the prizes and for their usual support.

Aaron and Angelina Misir were the first place finishers in the Brother and Sister Matching Outfit category of the annual Easter Hat Show which is hosted by Ellen’s Day Care, Pre and Nursery School in Bartica.

According to the head teacher, the yearly event is the highlight of school’s calendar and is looked forward to with enthusiasm.
