Two armed bandits who robbed a Meten-Meer-Zorg, West Coast Demerara shop keeper of cash on Sunday night have been captured.
Police in a press release last evening said that they are investigating an armed robbery which occurred around 21:00 hrs.
Investigations revealed that the shopkeeper, Bibi Khan, 31 and two customers were in the business when two men armed with handguns entered. They held Khan at gunpoint and later fled with a laptop computer and $60,000.
The release added that the gunmen have been arrested and are in police custody assisting with the investigations.
