No foul play suspected in death of man found in Kara Kara Creek

No foul play is suspected in the death of Milton George, 74, whose body was found in the Lower Kara Kara Creek at Linden.

Several persons recounted seeing George at two wakes on Wednesday night. According to a member of the St. Aidan’s Anglican Parish, the man lived alone at his Blue Berry Hill residence and was last seen on Wednesday morning.

Persons said that he went to a wake in Retrieve and then to another in Kara Kara, Mackenzie a short distance away from the creek. “I feel because he had some drinks and probably wandered and fell overboard,” one resident suggested.

George was the church’s choir master for approximately fifty years and a former table tennis coach in Linden. According to members he was absent from church last Sunday as a result of attending a meeting of the Perth Union Burial Society in Mahaicony.

Church members were alerted that he was missing on Saturday following the NCN local news, resulting in him being positively identified the following day. The man had no known relatives in Linden.
