Cabinet approves four contracts in key sectors

Head of the Presidential Secretariat and Cabinet Secretary Dr. Roger Luncheon said Cabinet green-lighted four contracts in the health, security and state media sectors when it met on Tuesday.

According to a Government Information Agency (GINA) press release in the health sector a contract valued $28.7 million was approved for the provision of bio-medical equipment. In the security sector a contract for $22.7 million was given the go-ahead for the purchase of narcotic, photographic, ballistic and crime scene equipment for the Guyana Police Force’s Crime Lab.

In addition $18.7 million was approved for the purchase of a hose layer and trailer pump for the Guyana Fire Service.

As regards the state media no objections were made to a contract valued US$121,000 for the supply of audio/video production equipment.
