Service engineer from excavator manufacturer visits local customers

Customers of Kobelco excavators and the local dealer Associated Industries Ltd (AINLIM) of Ruimveldt were provided with after sales support last week through the visit of Carlos Paioletti, service engineer of Case New Holland (CNH), manufacturers of Kobelco and New Holland Construction equipment.

During his three-day stay, Paioletti who is based at CNH head office in Miami, USA, met a representative of the mining industry who explained the conditions under which the excavators operate, a press release from AINLIM said.

According to AINLIM Service Manager Rex Mangroo, the gold mining industry in Guyana utilizes 80 per cent of the excavators sold locally while the other 20 per cent are in operation in sea defence, drainage and irrigation and construction.

Paioletti also visited customers, including BK International and the National Drainage and Irrigation Board and had a firsthand look at some of the excavators in operation,

Kobelco and New Holland Construction Equipment are distributed locally by AINLIM.
In addition, the engineer visited the conservancy at Cane Grove as well as sea defence works at Clonbrook on the East Coast Demerara.

Mangroo said the visit of Paioletti was timely especially with Kobelco excavators fully operational around the country.
“We have always offered the sales support to our customers and the visit of Paioletti emphasized our commitment to after sales service from our principals also,” Mangroo is quoted as saying.

He noted that Kobelco excavators manufactured in the USA have the best fuel consumption in its category for excavators represented in Guyana.

Meanwhile, technicians at AINLIM also benefited from technical training and are now more equipped to provide customers with a higher level of support.

“We expect to have more frequent visits in the future by CNH officials,” Mangroo added.
AINLIM began distributing Kobelco excavators in 2005 following a partnership with CNH Miami, the main support centre for Latin America and the Caribbean.
