The Hydrometeorological Service is teaming up with GTT&T to delivery up-to-date weather forecasts by SMS (text messages).
According to a press release the endeavour is expected to inform the public, government agencies and NGOs about emergency contingency planning and recovery, if necessary. For continuous updates the public is invited to visit the website located at www.hydromet.gov.gy
