Second Bahamian plane crashes
Four Bahamian passengers are being treated in a Florida hospital for injuries sustained in a plane crash on Wednesday.

The Department of Civil Aviation today launched a campaign warning travellers of what to expect when using chartered flights.

BVI cleans up
The British Virgin Islands (BVI) was cleaning up on Thursday after being lashed by torrential rains from what is now Tropical Storm Otto.
Officials say flooding caused by over two straight days of heavy rainfall was the worst in living memory, and prompted the government to declare a state of emergency.

Meanwhile heavy rains also forced the early closure of schools and businesses in St. Kitts on Thursday.

The bad weather complicated efforts to free a grounded oil tanker in Basseterre Harbour.

Unlike other islands, however, there’s been no major flooding in St Kitts and Nevis.

St Lucia assesses flood damage
