US Embassy to host first college fair next Monday

The EducationUSA Advising Center at the US Embassy in Georgetown will hold its first college fair on Monday, October 25 at School of the Nations, New Market Street, the embassy said in a press release yesterday.
Admission is free.

According to the release, representatives from US universities and colleges will talk about opportunities for pursuing higher education in the United States as well as providing students with information on the breadth of online programmes available.
The fair will also feature universities from Canada and the Caribbean as well as the University of Guyana.

Meanwhile, local financial institutions have been invited to promote their educational financing information and the Guyana Telephone and Telegraph Company will promote its services to help those students who would wish to pursue online study.

EducationUSA centres actively promotes US higher education around the world by offering accurate, unbiased, comprehensive and timely information about educational institutions in the United States  and guidance to qualified individuals on how best to access  those opportunities. EducationUSA centres also support US study abroad by advising US colleges and universities about options for developing study programmes in other countries, the release concluded.
