Prostate cancer sufferers have to get out of the closet

Dear Editor,
Allow me to congratulate the Ministry of Health, the Cancer Society, the Periwinkle Club and other social partners for the Breast Cancer Awareness month of education and testing including cancer of the cervix.

It has been a success in my opinion but we should not overlook the men with prostate cancer which is considered taboo as men continue to hide in their closet until it’s too late. A few years ago there was no cancer treatment at
the G.P.H. Today there is radiation and chemotherapy.
Congrats.
Yours faithfully,
