First Division two-day tournament bowls off today

Action in the Georgetown Cricket Association’s (GCA) Carib Beer/Friends of Cricket First Division two-day tournament bowls off today with two matches at the Georgetown Cricket Club (GCC)  and Eve Leary grounds.

GCC will host Everest Cricket Club while Transport Sports Club (TSC) will clash with Police at the Police Sports Club ground, Eve Leary. Umpires for the GCC match will be Nigel Duguid and Mario Nichols while Joseph Jeffrey and Matthew Kissoon are the officials for the other game.

For the Noble House Seafoods Second Division two-day tournament Zone A teams Vikings Cricket Club (VCC) will be up against Third Class Cricket Club at the University of Guyana ground. The standing umpires will be Randolph Rose and Edward Bowen.

In Zone B action Everest will oppose Malteenoes Sports Club (MSC) at the Camp Road and Carifesta Avenue ground with umpires Montgomery Chester and Cyril Garnath officiating.

Guyana Defence Force (GDF) will battle the Demerara Cricket Club (DCC) at the Camp Ayanganna ground; Reginald Grant and Linden Matthews will be in charge of the game.

Over at the Thirst Park ground in the Banks DIH Tropical Mist Pee Wee Under-13 competition Everest will compete against Thirst Park while GCC will play DCC at the same venue.

All matches start at 09:30 hours.
