I am pleading with everyone who knows or has heard of Winston Shripal Murray to pray for his recovery. I have known him personally for a short period and his interest in politics and the well-being of the citizens of Guyana caused me to have great admiration for him. After hearing of his illness I was very concerned.
Mr Murray is the most popular person in parliament and I believe that he is the only Member of Parliament to whom everyone listens without heckling when giving a speech. I saw video footage where one of the PNCR members said to PPP/C parliamentarians that Winston Murray would deal with them when he stood up to talk in Parliament, because the member couldn’t cope with th1e heckling from the PPP/C side. Most of the media in Guyana carry extracts from Winston Murray’s presentations in Parliament because he is one of the most vocal persons debating on almost all issues concerning Guyana.
Editor, I have always admired how people listen to him with acute interest and always praise his speeches.
I believe that he has spent most of his life in politics and Guyana couldnever repay him for the service he has given. I am humbly begging everyone to pray for his recovery because one way or the other we are all indebted to him through his active involvement in politics, and I know he always fought for the well-being of Guyana and its citizens.
