Perhaps the three security guards’ decision to accept cash (‘Tortured guards accept money’ SN, Nov 25 in return for not giving evidence against those who battered them is the best outcome for the three. But when in Guyana will the law be above cash?
Guyanese should show their disgust with this prevailing practice and boycott Mohamed’s Enterprise, Lombard Street. And whenever a similar story is reported, do something that will directly punish the big ones.
Take the stance and change your society for the better.
