Police say they are investigating the murder of Jennifer Thomas, 49 years of Moleson Creek, Corentyne, whose body was found in her home at about 1815h yesterday.
Police say that investigations led to the arrest of a suspect who was found in his nearby home with wounds to his left ankle and left wrist and is suspected to have ingested a poisonous liquid in a bid to commit suicide. The suspect has been admitted to the New Amsterdam Hospital under guard.
