Melanie man on cocaine charge

Yesterday, Terrence Azore was remanded to prison for possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking when he appeared before Magistrate Tejnarine Ramroop at the Fort Wellington Magistrate‘s Court.

The facts of the case said that Azore was a passenger in a hire car heading to Georgetown on Wednesday when the car was stopped and searched by a police during a road block exercise at Golden Grove, West Coast Berbice. The police found 755 grams of cocaine on his person.
An unrepresented Azore was remanded to prison until February 2, 2011.
