PNCR hopes Easter restores best practices for Guyana’s prosperity

The PNCR says it hopes that this year’s Easter celebrations renews relationships among citizens and restores the principles that would propel Guyana into a bright future, in its Easter message to the nation.

In a press release the party said for Christians, Easter commemorates the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ in fulfilment of God’s Prophecy of salvation for mankind. It is this belief that underpins the Christian church worldwide and has enabled its followers to significantly contribute to making the earth a better place for all.

In keeping with this the party encourages the nation to join in the kite-flying activity that is seen by many to commemorate Christ’s resurrection.

The party said this is yet another opportunity for Guyanese to share common experiences which will foster a greater respect for each other.

The party also recalls that Christ had demonstrated his concern for the poor and powerless and his opposition to the evils of bigotry, hypocrisy, dishonesty and corruption that now afflict Guyana. It said it is hopeful that the symbolism of the soaring kites beings renewal and the resurgence of conditions needed for the future development and prosperity of the country.
