Man remanded over Sheriff St gunpoint robbery

A man was remanded to prison yesterday after he was read a charge of robbery under arms by Magistrate Hazel Octive-Hamilton at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court.

Travis Perreira was read the indictable charge by the magistrate which alleges that on April 26 on Sheriff Street, being armed with a gun he robbed Imran Khan of one gold chain with a diamond pendant valued at $3M and US$1500 ($300,000), the total value being $3.3M, the property of Khan. He was then remanded by the magistrate and the matter was put down for June 29 for advice and statements.
