Body of Tuschen man found following river collision

The body of a construction worker was this morning found some 12 hours after he was thrown overboard during a boat collision near Hog Island in the Essequibo River.
Dead is construction worker Vidyanand Singh, 28, of Tuschen, East  Bank Essequibo.
Reports are that just before 6 pm yesterday, a boat was transporting Singh and several other workers of NDIA and Safeek Khan General Construction Company when it collided with another passenger boat.
Singh according to reports was the only person thrown into the water. Another passenger from his boat sustained a cut to his mouth.
Singh’s body was found around 8 am not far from the area where the collision occurred.
Stabroek News was told that Singh was among others being transported to Parika and Wakenaam.
