Queenstown housewife robbed

An Essequibo Coast housewife and her niece were robbed by five gunmen on Monday night of jewellery, electronics and $40,000 cash.

Police in a press release yesterday said that they are investigating the armed robbery which occurred at about 7.15 that night at Queenstown, Essequibo Coast.

Bibi Zaimoon and her 15-year-old niece, police said, were attacked and robbed by five men armed with firearms.
Investigations revealed that the two victims were at home when the men entered through an open door and held them up.
They then took away a quantity of jewellery, a lap top computer, a DVD player and $40,000. The men then made good their escape.
