The police say they are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at about 2115h last night at Mon Repos South, ECD, during which butcher Nazim Ali was attacked and robbed by three men. One of the men was armed with a handgun.
Investigations revealed Ali was awakened by the men who had broken into his home and tied up. The perpetrators then ransacked the home and took away jewellery and $87,000 after which they fled in the victim’s motor vehicle.
The vehicle was later recovered intact by the police.
