Good news for Globe Trust and Investment Company Limited depositors; the assets of that unworthy institution are to be sold (SN, January 27).
Unlike the CLICO policy-holders who have been regurgitating black, blue and yellow as a result of the tumultuous winding-up and winding down of that entity, GT&ICL members of the Ancient Order of Depositors, are now certain that the billions which will accrue from that sale will see them having access to their savings.
The access, mind you, will depend on how many light years the Bank of Guyana’s unmanned space mission takes to arrive and crash land on a diminished Pluto.
Therefore my hearties, be of good cheer, and drown your joy in a good draught of Banks Premium.
