-GCB president, secretary set to be in action

The president and secretary of the Guyana Cricket Board Chetram Singh and Anand Sanasie will tomorrow don their whites to participate in a feature 30 overs-a-side cricket match between Eccles and Wales Sports Clubs for the Agri Centre trophy.

According to a release, the match is scheduled to take place at the Canal Number Two ground from noon.

Apart from the two cricket administrators who will be representing Wales, Chairman of the Competitions Committee and PRO of the Demerara Cricket Board, K. Mangal and Rovin Stanley will also turn out for the Wales team along with popular sponsor, Salim Azeez of New Line Aqua Farm.

Raj Singh, secretary of the Demerara Cricket Board will appear for the Eccles team along with former national youth player, Rohan Sarjoo together with Johnny Azeez, Rudy Jairam and Nigel Bissu. Popular sponsor and cricket enthusiast, Ray Persaud of R & W Super Centre is the manager of the Eccles team.

Trophies for the man of the match and the best player on both teams will also be at stake.

Sponsor Lalta Digamber will be on hand to make the presentations.
