The veteran cricket administrator also received a Tribute to Hero Plaque and Medal from the BCB along with a floral arrangement for his wife. Public Relations Officer and BCB Chairman of the Special Events Committee, Hilbert Foster hailed the GCB president as an outstanding administrator whose legacy of success would surpass the passage of time. Foster stated that while Singh would be leaving office at the time when Guyana’s cricket is not at its best, his contribution as a visionary and passionate administrator was unmatched locally.

He highlighted several achievements under Singh’s leadership and expressed gratitude to him for being a positive role model.

Foster wished Singh a peaceful and happy retirement but urged him to share his vast experience with young and promising sports leaders.
President of the BCB Keith Foster and Treasurer Anil Beharry also paid tribute to Singh, stating that Singh was a visionary leader who always placed the game of cricket first and who made outstanding contributions towards the development of the game.

An emotional Singh thanked the BCB for honouring him and stated that he was elated to be inducted as an honorary member.

He noted that his service to cricket was because of his love of the game and not for personal glory and he pledged to work along with both the BCB and the Rose Hall Town Youth & Sports Club as they are doing a remarkable job of assisting cricketers and the less fortunate.
